GUIDELINES

1. Upload all music in advanced through your Online Portal

2. ODC will accept music at registration on USB drives. If you are turning music in using a USB drive, we ask that you please make sure your files are named, and that the flash drive contain no additional content.

            Entry Number – Studio Code – Routine Name

3. ODC is not responsible for unedited music. Please have all music edited and cued for a professional quality performance.

4. Music speed will NOT be adjusted.

5. ODC is not responsible for the quality of your music.

6. A 9-point deduction will apply for all entries exceeding the maximum time limits.

7. Teachers must use professional judgment with music selection. Music containing lyrics of an explicit or sexual nature is prohibited and the entry will be disqualified. This also applies to Choreography ODC or its’ judges finds age-inappropriate.

8. It is the responsibility of the studio to obtain music copyrights and pay fees to the appropriate organizations such as ASCAP, BMI or SESCOM.

Back Up Music – We highly recommend bringing a Master Backup USB.

MAXIMUM TIME LIMITS

All time limits include Set Up & Strike

Number of Dancers Time Allowed
Solo/Duets/Trio 3.00 minutes
Small Groups 4.00 minutes
Large Groups 5.00 minutes
Lines 6.30 minutes
Production 8.00 minutes

EXTENDED TIME

May be purchased:

  • at the time of registration at the event
  • $5 per dancer for 1 minute
  • $10 per dancer for 2 minutes

Music

  • CANNOT be Uploaded Online
  • A studio Representative will need to hand deliver music to the DJ (must be on USB) 1 hour prior to the scheduled act time.
