TITLE COMPETITION

ODC is proud to offer a Title Competition at no additional cost to dancers, and no separate registration is required. Dancers are automatically eligible based on the following criteria. This prestigious recognition honors well-rounded performers who demonstrate excellence in technique, performance, and execution across multiple genres

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Solos: Dancers must perform at least two solos in different genres.
  • Group Participation: Dancers must be registered in at least one group routine.
  •   Open Category Solos:
    •  Solos registered in the Open category must showcase a noticeably
different genre than the other solo performed.
    • Example: A lyrical solo cannot be entered in both the Lyrical and Open categories. The two solos must exhibit distinct styles.
    • Ovation reserves the right to disqualify any solo for title consideration if it is registered in Open but does not demonstrate a clear difference in style.

Scoring Requirements

  • Both solos must achieve a Platinum score.
  •  Combined Score Requirements:
    • Elite dancers: A combined score of at least 574.
    • Intermediate dancers: A combined score of at least 570
  •  Dancers performing three or more solos will have their two highest scoring routines (of different genres) used to calculate the cumulative score.

Dancer Levels

  • Eligible Levels: Only Intermediate and Elite dancers are eligible for title
    awards.
  • Exclusion: Novice dancers are not eligible to compete for titles.
